Sound Paintings, 1980, the Original Cassette Album with first version of Rain Forest Music and a mix of electronics on side 2. The title was created to reflect the ability of the mind to use music as a channel for imagery.

These are my first year electronic music experiments which includes the first published version of Rain Forest which later became the foundation of the LP, Rain Forest Music. This SP version has different background rainfall and two extra tracks that would not fit on an LP.

I am J D Emmanuel. My music is designed to create and enhance deep meditative or altered states. My music style is to first create a foundation using cyclic, poly rhythmic music, then build several layers of improvised leads and rhythms.
